How many of your tribe friends have you met in real life? Do you try to meet them or are you indifferent? Personally I like to see if my tribe friends cross into real life so I try to meet them all, right now I am close to the halfway point & I have met some great people

Patially copied from AASWA
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 4:26 AMWell, I have made it a bit of a rule not to friend folks unless I know them 3D or have an ongoing dialog with them and I occasionally go through and prune anybody I don't immediately recognize from my friends list (if I don't recognize you then we probably don't talk enough for you to qualify as a friend)
So, out of 82 friends I have met 58 of them. Of those 58 only seven of them met me after being friended to me on tribe. Only six of the 24 folks I have not met are not people I know from the AASWA tribe and one of them is a friend of a friend who lives in Denver who I hope to meet someday.
I'm not a huge fan of meeting people from the internet. It's a very stressful interaction for me. Then again, meeting people is almost always stressful for me unless it's in a context where I'm surrounded by friends. This means that I mostly meet people through people I already know or social groups I am already established in.

9.
"Do you try to meet them or are you indifferent?"
Mostly indifferent; being on my friends list isn't really a reflection of the depth of connection that has been formed; meanwhile, some I may very strong connections with, and the Fates work in our favor.

Re: Tribe Friends
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 9:15 AMhmmm, I think there are only a dozen or two people in my friends list that I don't see on a regular basis. of them there are probably less than ten that I have never met at all. otherwise, it's far more normally the case of meeting someone and then sharing tribe contact into

Re: Tribe Friends
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 8:56 PMI have met over half on my list. Just today I went through a year of ignored friends request (30 of them) and accepted only those I found to be really interesting. If I can learn something from someone then I will friend them...but only with full profile, and pictures and an online personality. I love being somewhere and meeting someone on my tribe list. It is like I know *something* about them. Sometimes I go through and cull my list. I am always surprised by who contacts me after I delete them with a "I love your blogs, please add me again." Luckily I get more of those than the "if you have people having to send you online hugs, then you have a miserable life and blog so therefore, I am cutting you as a tribe friend."
Oh and those guys who I friend, who seem like they are not after anything then PM me with the "so sexy lady, what is your kink and can we meet" get deleted immediately!
