Personally I absolutely despise shaving. I have very sensitive skin and very course hair. I can also manage to cut myself with an electric.
My general and preferred look is with a goatee or beard long enough to be soft.
The final bitch I have with shaving is with the razor companies. The new 4000 blade shavers do nothing but clog and I get one shave out of a cartridge that costs $3.00. Financially it was getting way too hard to keep up with a clean look. I recently resolved that by going to a basic old school D/E razor <that is double edge. After a fairly steep learning curve and shreading the hell out of myself I have become very competent and comfortable with the older technology... And for price? No comparison. I pay about 59 cents for the highest quality blades available and get about 10 shaves out of them. For guys <and women> who are interested here is a basic primer on old style shaving:

For a while I had a machine that gave me hot lather--which is how to get the closest, best shave possible--but those machines never last very long, unfortunately. -

I almost never shave my legs with an actual razor, as stubble *sucks*, but will happily wax my legs, um, quarterly, as my lovers don't mind a bit. I use an adjustable beard trimmer on my thicker nether fur, and that seems to work out quite well. I'll shave my armpits every 6 months or so (they don't grow very fast, and, well, I'm more butch than femme). Big boobs seem to shift the focus from furry armpits, FWIW. :o) If I shave or wax my nethers, I have nothing but angry welts and bumps - *totally* not sexy. >:o( Or comfortable. No, thanks!
