Quiet Sat night at home, watching Capt. Jack Sparrow, got me thinking what with his compass, what is it that YOU want MOST?

Sun, May 18, 2008 - 12:30 AMChocolate!!
However, I try not to eat much of the evil stuff...even when I WANTTTT it.
So perhaps I could wear it and let someone else eat it.
Yep, sounds like a plan to me.
-
Re: What is it that you want most?
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 4:16 AMWhat I want most his compass could not find for me. What I want most is a thing that does not and cannot exist.
If we're limiting this to realistic desires then he would find me my pack, my pard, my tribe, my happy healthy hedonist home. -

Re: What is it that you want most?
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 10:13 AMHappiness. Redemption. -

Re: What is it that you want most?
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 10:32 AMWhat cannot exist?
I get the feeling that we will be seeing unicorns and purple flying pigs any moment now.
Seems like anything is possible. Myriad do you live in LA? lots of existance out here. -

Ashleigh
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 5:46 AMOh no, no La La Land for me! I'm up in Portland. My fondest wish is for the human race to suddenly discover full-blown telepathy/empathy. Complete thought sharing with all accompanied memories. It's not something I would want "on" all the time, but to actually be able to EXPERIENCE another person's perspective and know exactly where they're coming from would be pure bliss for me! I also suspect that with a communication form that left no ability to lie and no capacity for misunderstanding many human problems would simply vanish. -
-
Re: Ashleigh
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 11:29 AMI sometimes ask this question ; "Would the world be better if we could read each other's minds?"
I think so - but there'd be one hell of an adjustment period. -
-
Re: Ashleigh
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 11:56 AMOh yes, the learning curve would be treacherous. There'd be utter chaos for a while, but I think that might be the kind of chaos I could embrace. All the illusions and lies busting wide open, all the emotional and political boils being lanced, all in one orgy of disillusionment. Yeah, it'd be rough as hell, but I could dig on that.

Re: Ashleigh
Sun, May 25, 2008 - 9:56 PMI've had this for 3+ years now and it's not that easy to live with. -

Re: What is it that you want most?
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 3:43 PMsmall scale: To be able to live a balanced life and keep the Depression Monster at bay. All else for me is dependent on this. (This is a work in progress.)
large scale: peace, balance, to pass on a livable environment -

Re: What is it that you want most?
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 9:59 AMSounds like a plan.
I did a sketch of the beastie for my therapist, sort of as a form of art therapy. Its favorite weapon is a hayfork (the kind with long, thin, sharp tines, for sticking into haybales, or my mind, in this case.) -

Re: What is it that you want most?
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 11:35 AMI already have most of the things that I want most.
The one thing that I don't have that I'd like to add is complete financial independance.
As in not having to work any more.
And to have enough lucre to be able to eat well, entertain modestly, tinker around with whatever kind of projects, and travel around some.
-
Re: What is it that you want most?
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 8:50 PMIn the short term: for my life coaching practice to take off and to allow me to thrive financially.
In the long term: my children staying happy, content, healthy and have good people around them.
Share a piece of land with someone I love, tend the garden, raise a puppy and wake up each morning thankful for companionship and love.
And I like the chocolate answer...can't live without chocolate.

Re: What is it that you want most?
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 1:27 PMIt's funny the solution to what a lot of folks want over a long term would require a high percentage of the human population to die. Maybe that is a worthy thing to desire.
<Those things being peace, a healthy environment ect>
So yeah looks like I want a shit load of people to just stop existing or at the very least to stop breeding. Oh and I want oil to run out so we are forced to confront our own idiocy in believing that this planet can actually sustain us with our current populations. and behaviors.
If you are gonna dream dream big.

Re: What is it that you want most?
Tue, May 27, 2008 - 5:57 AMi've been thinking a lot about this one.
what i want most for myself is to find perfection and contentment with how everything is, exactly as it is, right now, at this moment.
no thinking of more, better, different, no pining about what is missing from my life, or is there that i don't like... just being peacefully and blissfully happy with each moment.

Re: What is it that you want most?
Thu, June 5, 2008 - 10:58 AMright now? long slow deep soft wet kisses that last for three days and a slow hard fuck against the wall....
for the future? to get out of my current living situation, find someone who will love me for who i am unconditionally, and to live happily ever after.
now...which one will be found first? who knows.

Re: What is it that you want most?
Thu, June 5, 2008 - 11:57 AMI just want to get back to normal... that's something that's easy to take for granted until tragedy hits you repeatedly.
I would like for my family to heal and to get my aspirations in sight to validate this tripped out journey. I would like to find a muse... it's been a while. -

Um yeah like since I was age 20. I have no clue what this normal thing is you speak of.
>"I would like to find a muse..."<
Find your muse in your pain, in the loss, tragedy and abnormality you feel now. Creativity is a great way to exorcise those feelings.
